BookXcess is seeking a creative Public Relations Manager to oversee our communications and media relations. In this role, you will develop communication strategies to engage customers, increase brand trust, and cultivate and maintain positive relationships with media contacts. Key Accountabilities Build and develop publicity strategies to evangelize the brand, mission and movement in the market. Create a PR plan that includes budgets, timelines, objectives, schedule and a content calendar. Manage and handle all aspects of PR work, including but not limited to: Drafting of media materials (press releases, briefing documents, speeches, reports, etc). Organize press tours, conferences, attend to media queries, interviews and spokespeople management. Media monitoring and keep abreast of current trends in the industry. Produce high-quality, informative and interesting press releases, press kits and related materials. Develop PR-related initiatives and media-related events. Influencer/KOL management. Knowledge of SOCMEDIA and how it works is an added advantage. Handle the following aspects of external communications such as writing, reviewing or editing content. Speaking engagements for spokespeople. Awards nominations/submissions. Develop creative and effective approaches to overcome communications challenges. Identify, track and manage performance metrics for all communications efforts and make recommendations on areas of optimization. Any ad-hoc duties assigned by the Management as business requirements evolve. Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Bachelor\'s degree in Public Relations/Marketing/Journalism/Business/Hospitality Management or equivalent. At least 8 years of working experience in public relations or corporate communications with exposure in either an in-house capacity or in a PR agency. Able to communicate well in both written and verbal form in English and Malay. A solid grasp of the Malaysian media landscape. Good research, organizational and time management skills, is resourceful and detail-oriented. Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment with tight timelines. Working Conditions This position will be based at our HQ office in Section 33, Shah Alam. Due to lack of nearby public transport, personal transport will be required. Working days are Monday to Friday, and default hours are 9:00AM to 6:00PM.
