The Public Relations & Content Intern under the Marketing Communications team will be responsible for supporting the team to assist with the planning and execution of public relations and content marketing initiatives for Funding Societies in Malaysia. The role will need to foster a strong working relationship internally with the creative/production team on the campaigns and content. The ideal candidate has to be agile, creative, disciplined, highly motivated and has a native understanding of digital resources to deliver value-added results. What you will do:
Working alongside the Marketing team in helping with idea generation, including the execution of the monthly marketing initiatives, especially on PR and content.
Exploring and suggesting content ideas for Funding Societies\xe2\x80\x99 blog is a plus.
Coordinating with the creative team/agency for the ideation creative process that covers planning, stakeholder and feedback management.
Assisting in managing and drafting the content for Funding Societies\xe2\x80\x99 various communication channels (website social media, blog, third-party platforms including news agencies).
Monitoring and preparing summaries of a variety of news and communication formats (traditional media, blogs, online outlets, etc.).
Conducting secondary research for PR campaigns with guidance.
Supporting the draft of written material intended to represent the brand\xe2\x80\x99s key messaging and point of view (Press releases, interview pointers, company or product fact sheets etc.).
Assisting with media event planning and support (including logistics, onsite support and development of collaterals).
Supporting media pitching and media follow-up activities.
When required, to attend to any other ad hoc tasks assigned
Requirements What we are looking for:
Have an interest in communications and content.
Have some knowledge of the Financial Technology industry.
Have excellent comprehension and communication skills to manage different stakeholders when performing assigned tasks.
Is an organised multi-tasker who\xe2\x80\x99s able to work independently in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Is someone with a good understanding of the blog content writing nuances.
Be familiar with editing tools such as Photoshop/ Canva, additional experience with content creation is a plus.
Undergraduates/fresh graduates with a University degree or Polytechnic diploma in Marketing/Communications/English or relevant fields of study.
Able to commit to the internship period: 5 working days for a minimum of 3 months (maximum 6 months).
You will shine in this role if you are/have:
Experience in branding specifically in the FinTech industry is a huge plus.
Prior experience with marketing or social media.
Basic knowledge of Photoshop and editing programs such as Premiere Pro and Aftereffects is a plus.
Pursuing your degree or diploma in social media, finance, or related disciplines.
