In this role, you will be performing various sourcing and purchasing activities for the organisation. You will negotiate for the best terms at the highest product quality while also liaising with customers, shipping companies and suppliers for order fulfilment processes.

What You Need to Do

• Source, select and negotiate with suppliers for the best pricing structures and terms while maintaining the highest level of product quality, reliability and services
• Develop cost reduction strategies and ensure inventory system integrity
• Manage the Approved Supplier List and actively participate in supplier development and evaluation programmes
• Follow up with suppliers to ensure that their deliveries meet the Company\'s operation schedule and lead time
• Process purchase orders, delivery orders, monthly purchasing reports and invoices
• Address and resolve purchasing issues such as supply chain shortages, allocation shortages, bad balances and discrepancies
• Develop and ensure contingency plan or alternate sources of supply

What We Need from You

• Minimum Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain / Procurement / Logistic Management or equivalent
• At least 3 years of relevant purchasing experience in a purchasing or any relevant role, preferably in a Lighting manufacturing industry
• Strong business and operations acumen with a good command of purchasing and supply chain processes and solutions
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
• Independent with the ability to work under strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Proficient with MS Office (Excel and Word) and ERP (Oracle Netsuite preferred)
