Krogman Metals BV, an industry leader in stainless steel long & flat products trading, is actively seeking a dedicated Purchasing Coordinator to join our team in Malaysia. Aligned with our vision, we are currently seeking a dynamic Purchasing Coordinator with experience in managing supplier relationships and coordinating material transport to contribute to our growth path. Responsibilities: Supplier Engagement: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers in Malaysia, Singapore, China, Korea, and Vietnam to ensure a reliable and diversified supply chain. Material Inspection: Oversee material quality checks and ensure compliance with specifications and standards. Transportation Coordination: Coordinate the transportation of materials, optimizing logistics to minimize costs and delivery times. Contact Person in Asia: Act as the main point of contact for suppliers in Asia, addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and fostering strong relationships. Purchase Coordination: Work closely with internal teams to facilitate the procurement process, from order placement to delivery, ensuring seamless operations. Market Awareness: Stay updated on market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry dynamics in Asia to identify growth opportunities and maintain a competitive edge. Reporting: Generate regular reports on procurement activities and provide insights to senior management for performance assessment and strategic planning. Qualifications and Skills: Proven Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in purchase coordination, ideally in the steel industry. Supplier Relationship Management: Strong ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers across different Asian regions. Logistics Knowledge: Familiarity with transportation and logistics processes, including customs regulations. Effective Communication: Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse cultures and business practices. Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively. MS Office Proficiency: Proficiency in MS Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
