The Purchasing Executive is responsible for supporting day-to-day procurement activities, including sourcing, issuing purchase orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely delivery of materials or services at competitive prices. This role focuses on operational purchasing and supplier coordination.
Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Purchasing Operations
Source materials, products, and services according to approved specifications and budgets
Prepare and issue Purchase Requisitions (PR) and Purchase Orders (PO)
Monitor order status and follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery
Coordinate with internal departments (Production, Warehouse, Finance) on purchasing needs
Supplier Management
Communicate with existing suppliers on pricing, availability, delivery schedules, and documentation
Request quotations and perform basic price comparisons
Maintain updated supplier records, price lists, and agreements
Support evaluation of supplier performance (quality, delivery, responsiveness)
Documentation & Records
Ensure purchasing documents are complete and properly filed (POs, DOs, invoices)
Verify invoices against PO and Delivery Orders before submission to Finance
Maintain accurate purchasing data in ERP or procurement systems
Inventory & Cost Control Support
Assist in monitoring inventory levels to avoid shortages or overstocking
Support cost-saving initiatives through price comparison and supplier negotiation (basic level)
Highlight any supply issues, delays, or discrepancies to management
Compliance & Process Support
Follow company purchasing policies and internal controls
Support audits by providing purchasing records and documentation
Assist in improving purchasing processes and efficiency

Pay: RM2,167.58 - RM3,000.00 per month
