Source, negotiate, and secure the best pricing and quality from local and international vegetable suppliers.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, especially from
China
and other exporting countries.
Conduct supplier evaluation, price comparison, and quality checking to ensure stable and reliable supply.
Manage
import & export procedures
, including documentation, permits, customs clearance, and logistics coordination.
Monitor market trends, supply conditions, harvesting seasons, and price fluctuations to make accurate purchasing decisions.
Prepare purchasing forecasts based on sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand.
Coordinate with internal departments (Sales, Warehouse, Logistics, QAQC) to ensure smooth operations.
Review purchase orders, contracts, and delivery schedules to maintain stock availability.
Resolve supplier issues related to delivery delays, quality problems, or pricing disputes.
Maintain updated supplier databases and purchasing records.
Job Requirements:
Minimum
3-4 years working experience
in purchasing, preferably in
vegetables, agriculture, or fresh produce industry
.
Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to secure competitive pricing and quality products.
Experience dealing with
import/export procedures
, customs, and international suppliers.
Ability to communicate and negotiate with
China suppliers
(Mandarin-speaking is an advantage).
Strong analytical and forecasting skills for stock planning.
Good knowledge of market prices, vegetable quality grading, and seasonal supply patterns.
Able to work independently, proactive, and good at problem-solving.
Willing to work under fast-paced environment, especially during peak supply seasons.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
