Job Summary:

The Purchasing Executive is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, supplies, and services required by the company. The role ensures timely delivery, cost efficiency, and quality compliance while maintaining good relationships with suppliers and internal departments.

Job Responsibilities:

Responsible for direct/ Indirect materials. Source and evaluate suppliers based on price, quality, service, and reliability. Negotiate terms and conditions, including pricing, payment, and delivery schedules. Prepare and process purchase orders, quotations, and other related documents. Monitor and follow up on order status to ensure timely delivery of goods and services. Maintain accurate purchasing records, supplier databases, and inventory reports. Work closely with internal departments (e.g., production, planning, warehouse, sales) to understand purchasing needs. Review supplier performance regularly and recommend improvements or alternatives. Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies and procedures. Support cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities for process improvement. Resolve any issues related to quality, quantity, or delivery with suppliers. Perform other purchasing duties or tasks assigned by superiors or management.

Job Requirements:

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field. Minimum 3-4 years of experience in purchasing or procurement. Experience in food industry (plastic tray) will be added advantage. Strong negotiation, communication, and analytical skills. Good knowledge of purchasing procedures, sourcing strategies, and vendor management. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and Autocount & ERP software. Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently under pressure. Able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
