Job Description

The Purchasing Executive is responsible for planning of material and execution purchases to ensure optimum inventory required by the organization. This role ensures that purchases are cost-effective, timely, and meet quality standards.

1) Issue purchase orders and monitor delivery schedules.

2) Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.

3) Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost saving.

4) Resolve issues related to delivery delays, defective goods, or invoice discrepancies.

5) Develop, update, and manage rolling forecasts (monthly, quarterly, yearly) based on sales trends, market intelligence, and promotional activities.

6) Analyze historical sales data and market trends to improve forecast accuracy.

7) Review and evaluate demand variances and adjust forecasts accordingly.

8) Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Warehouse and Productions to gather input and align demand with business plans.

9) Participate in monthly S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) meetings to present forecast assumptions and updates.

10) Coordinate with Warehouse & Production Planning to ensure capacity and supply meet forecast demand.

11) Monitor stock levels and identify potential gaps between supply and demand.

12) Adhering to the agreed stock keeping policies and sales performance ( Product classification in accordance with offtake ).

13) Maintain forecasting tools and ERP systems (ie JD Edwards, Oracle)

14) Generate regular reports on forecast accuracy, service levels, and key KPIs.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: RM2,800.00 - RM3,800.00 per month
