Qualified purchasers have to be competent in their responsibility for negotiating with suppliers and sellers of the assorted products and services that their own organization needs. They also need to coordinate the logistics of having them delivered and paid for. Their duties include the following: \xe2\x80\xa2 Sourcing suppliers based on price, availability, necessity, quality and logistical expenses. \xe2\x80\xa2 Assessing vendors and their offerings with in-person visits, interviews and analysis to assess their quality. \xe2\x80\xa2 Collaborating with various internal departments to ensure that they fulfill all customer requests. \xe2\x80\xa2 Negotiating sale agreements and supply contracts in ways that benefit their company. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinating with shipping agencies and sellers to ensure timely deliveries and oversee the integrity and quality of delivered goods and services. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conducting product research and sourcing new suppliers and vendors. \xe2\x80\xa2 Sourcing materials, goods, products, and services and negotiating the best or most cost-effective contracts and deals, compare and evaluate offers from suppliers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Performing inventory inspections and reordering supplies and stock as necessary. \xe2\x80\xa2 Conducting market research to keep abreast of emerging trends and business opportunities. \xe2\x80\xa2 Inspecting stock and reporting any faulty items or inconsistencies immediately. \xe2\x80\xa2 Updating and maintaining records of all orders, payments, and received stock. \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinating with the delivery team and following up on delays or orders that have been rescheduled. \xe2\x80\xa2 Attending product launches and networking with industry professionals. \xe2\x80\xa2 Establishing professional relationships with clients as well as vendors and suppliers. \xe2\x80\xa2 Track orders and ensure timely delivery, ensuring all stock is packaged appropriately and delivered to the correct location in a timely manner. \xe2\x80\xa2 Negotiate contract terms of agreement and pricing. \xe2\x80\xa2 Maintain updated records of purchased products, delivery information and invoices. \xe2\x80\xa2 Prepare reports on purchases, including cost analyses. \xe2\x80\xa2 Monitor stock levels and place orders as needed.
