Job Description

To handle all oversea requisition, import shipments (vessel & insurance) and negotiating with suppliers for the best price. To evaluate new suppliers performance, conduct re-evaluation of approved suppliers annually and update approved supplier list (ASL) from time to time. To supervise the purchasing department, making sure best price, quality and delivery time is monitored. To verify the goods received with the requestor/storekeeper against the supplier D/O, Purchase order and Purchase Requisition, to ensure that the order is correct prior to endorse the suppliers D.O. Perform document-matching job (e.g Invoice, delivery order & P/O) before submission to accounts department. To represent purchasing division as a departmental representative (DR). To ensure that the purchasing documentation and records adhered to the ISO requirements. Revise ISO procedures in purchasing department if there are any changes. Ensure the purchasing documentations and records are as per ISO requirements. Ensure the purchase order prepared is according to the requirement stated in the approved purchase requisition. Responsible for suppliers NCR analysis reports and corrective action against them, evaluating supplier performance base on quality standard, delivery time and best prices. Source for more suitable suppliers on competitive prices and quality products or material. Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with suppliers. To carry out and record risk assessment performance for purchasing department. All ad-hoc assignments as and when required by the Management from time to time.
