Job Summary / Purpose:



Purchasing Executive is part of the Supply Chain function. Purchasing Executive will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring parts and materials according to engineering specifications to support machine assembly and project schedules. This role ensures timely supply of quality components while maintaining cost efficiency and strong supplier relationships.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:



Maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers to ensure reliability, quality, and on-time supply. Monitor supplier performance (delivery, quality, service) and drive improvement initiative with suppliers. Conduct supplier follow-ups, expediting, and negotiation of pricing, terms, and delivery schedules. Source and procure parts, components, and materials in accordance with engineering specifications and project requirements. Request and evaluate supplier quotations to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with technical requirements. Issue Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and ensure timely delivery of materials. Identify, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers to strengthen the supply chain. Work closely with Engineering, Sales, Production, Planning and Project teams to understand material requirements based on customer requirements, project plans and schedules. Track material readiness and coordinate with relevant departments to prevent shortages or delays. Ensure all purchased materials meet engineering specifications and quality standards. Coordinate with QA and Engineering to resolve non-conforming materials or supplier-related issues. Drive and execute supplier improvement and development program. Maintain accurate procurement documentation in compliance with internal policies and ISO standards. Achieve cost savings through negotiation, alternative sourcing, and supplier development. Analyze purchasing data to improve procurement efficiency, reduce lead times, reduce PR to PO cycle time, on-time delivery, and supplier quality. Perform data collection, data analysis and prepare report for management review.

Academic and Trades Qualification:



Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Management, Engineering or a related field.

Work Experience and Skills:



Prefer experience in Purchasing/Procurement/Supply Chain Management. Prefer experience in automation/machine/equipment supply industries. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and service manuals will be advantageous. Basic computer, MS Office and SAP knowledge. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
