General Description of the Position:

We are looking for a talented individual to lead our software quality assurance team and to use your knowledge of manual and automated testing to place some complex and well engineered web based applications, RESTful APIs and other applications under incredible stress to drive quality. In this role, you should have a keen eye for detail and excellent communication skills. Ultimately, you will ensure that our products, applications, and systems work correctly through applying industry leading quality standards.

Tasks

What You Will Be Doing:

• Technical ownership of quality assurance processes, including roadmaps and technical direction and growth of the team.
• Stay up to date with relevant developments in the software QA tools, technologies and trends.
• Together with the Product Manager, you will be the key point of contact between other department heads for any Product related matter.
• Develop and manage test strategies that will include approaches for test data, regression testing and automation methodologies to ensure higher quality delivery and test coverage.
• Design, build and maintain new and existing automated test frameworks.
• Leading, mentoring and coaching other QA Engineers. Be the team's "Go to Person"
• Evaluate product code according to specifications given.
• Own the process of monitoring and managing product issue analysis, triage, resolution and communication. This is mainly incident management and root cause analysis
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
• Executing test scripts and reviewing results
• Prepare test scripts based on analysis of requirement to detect usability and performance issues
• Prepare documentation on automated testing, set the priority for automation scenarios and work to maximize test coverage
• Reporting and documenting technical issues

Requirements

Ideally You Should Have:

• 3-5 years of experience within the Quality Assurance specialty.
• Have strong technical skills, both functional and non-functional, manual and automation, ideally in a continuous delivery environment.
• Working knowledge or desire to learn use of Cypress, Katalon Studio, Appium, Selenium and other relevant automation tools.
• Strong communication skills with all the key stakeholders to ensure QA vision is understood and implemented correctly.
• Able to motivate a team, recognize good talent and bring out the best out of each individual.
• The ability to prioritize work and tasks under pressure.
• Strong organizational skills.
• BSc/BA in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
