Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage the activities required in the Quality Assurance programme in line with the Company\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures.
• Participate in the planning and execution of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s strategic development projects towards continuous improvement and growth.
• Participate in the planning, implementation and enforcement of the Company\xe2\x80\x99s Quality Management System.
• Coordinate the correction, corrective and preventive activities needed to overcome product and service quality non-conformances by liaising with the relevant department or supplier.
• Build up good relationship with local authority and assure full compliance with national and international quality/ food safety related legislation.
• To build and lead the QA team in order to ensure the efficiency in the respective work areas.
• Work closely with production team to troubleshoot root cause for nonconforming product, prepare investigation report and put on action plan.
• To organize proper record keeping and filling of documentation.
• Compiling all the necessary documents for audit purpose.
• To perform other ad hoc tasks as and when required.

Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Degree in Food Science / Food Technology / Food Chemistry / Food Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years working experience in this position and preferably in a manufacturing environment, especially in food industry.
• Candidate who is Halal Executive certified from recognized bodies will be an advantage.
• Knowledge in HACCP, ISO 9001, Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), Quality Assurance System and food safety will be an advantage.
• Familiar with Halal regulations.
• Good leadership and communication skills, able to deal with all levels of people in the organization.
• Good attitude, self-motivated, and strong analytical and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently and work under pressure.
