Job Responsibilities of Quality Engineer

Overall Objective:

Ensure production of high-quality plastic packaging while adhering to ISO 9001, GMP, and customer specifications.

Responsibilities:

1. Incoming Raw Material:

Inspect and verify raw materials against specifications and certificates of analysis.

Perform or coordinate testing of raw materials according to established procedures.

Maintain records of raw material inspections and test results.

Communicate discrepancies and rejections to suppliers and internal departments.

Update and manage raw material approval lists.

2. Production Process and Product Quality:

Conduct in-process inspections at defined stages of the production process.

Monitor adherence to established quality control procedures and specifications.

Perform or coordinate product testing as per sampling plans and test methods.

Analyze test results and identify trends for quality improvement.

Investigate and document non-conformances, proposing corrective and preventive actions.

Implement and monitor corrective actions to prevent recurrence of non-conformances.

Maintain quality control records and documentation.

3. Customer Complaints:

Receive and document customer complaints related to product quality.

Investigate the root cause of customer complaints.

Communicate effectively with customers regarding the investigation and corrective actions.

Propose solutions to resolve customer complaints and ensure their satisfaction.

Maintain records of customer complaints and resolutions.

4. Quality Management System (QMS):

Participate in internal audits and ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and GMP requirements.

Assist in maintaining and updating quality documentation, procedures, and work instructions.

Conduct and participate in quality awareness training for production personnel.

Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the QMS.

5. Other:

Perform other duties as assigned by management from time to time.

To be successful in this role, you need to have:

At least a Diploma or Bachelors Degree in any course

Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and GMP principles and requirements.

Experience with quality control and testing procedures.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

3-5 years work experience in QA field from plastic packaging industries.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,000.00 per month
