Inspect raw materials, semi-finished, and finished harnesses according to drawings and standards.
Monitor production processes for quality compliance.
Conduct final product testing (continuity, insulation resistance, hi-pot).
Document inspection results and issue NCRs when non-conformance is found.
Support root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
Assist in audits, PPAP, and continuous improvement activities.
Authority:
Stop production if major quality non-conformance is found.
Approve or reject harnesses before delivery.
Escalate quality issues to QA Engineer/Manager.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI):
% of defects detected at incoming/in-process vs customer complaint rate.
Accuracy & timeliness of inspection reporting.
Compliance rate with IPC/WHMA-A-620 and customer standards.
Contribution to reducing rework, scrap, and customer rejects.
