Supervise SMT QA/QC inspectors, assign daily tasks, and monitor their performance
Ensure compliance with SMT QA procedures, standards, and documentation in compliance with ISO, IPC, and other applicable standards
Conduct quality audits and inspections on SMT lines, including First Article, in-process, and final inspections
Collaborate with production, engineering, and NPI teams to support new product introductions
Train and develop QA/QC staff in inspection techniques, IPC standards, and quality tools
Support customer audits
Prepare quality reports, yield analyses, and metrics
2.0 Job Requirements
Education & Experience:
High school, vocational school, or higher qualification
Minimum 2-4 years of experience in SMT quality control
Experience with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 (for medical), or IATF 16949 (for automotive) is preferred
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of SMT processes, equipment (e.g., SPI, AOI, reflow ovens), and soldering standards (IPC-A-610, J-STD-001)
Understand quality tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone (Ishikawa), Pareto analysis, FMEA, and 8D reports
Experienced in using inspection tools and measurement equipment
Ability to interpret technical drawings, BOMs, and PCBA specifications
Soft Skills:
Detail-oriented, responsible, and disciplined, with good leadership, teamwork, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Able to work independently under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Willing to work in shifts and perform overtime when required
Language:
Proficiency in English and local language (as needed)
