A food manufacturing company is looking for a QA Manager to manage all quality management systems for all products, and technical quality support and safety assurance. In this job, you will report directly to the VP Quality APAC.

About the QA Manager Role:
In this position, you will be responsible for leading all implementation of quality systems and improvement initiatives in line with the dynamic movement of both the company and market requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and improve Quality System ensuring the consistency and compliance on product quality and supplying the products that meet or exceed the regulation and customer expectations
• Ensure the planning, implementation, control and monitor for the management of Quality Assurance/Quality Control activities
• Monitor and ensure the continuous improvement on product quality and quality system as per the requirements of GMP, AIB, ISO, HACCP, ensuring the highest performance during normal operations, internal audits, third party inspections and certification processes
• Provide technical support and services, addressing quality issues and managing internal corrective and preventive actions for continual improvement
• Coordinate, execute, report and follow up on Food Safety Inspections according to AIB standard and of the mock recall drill in compliance with ISO, HACCP, AIB and customer requirements
• Issue customer specifications, revise finished product specifications and ensuring information is correct, updated and organised for easy access, tracking and auditing
• Continually review to improve laboratory system standard and operating procedures
• Ensure that the product measurement systems meet customer requirements
• Ensuring that the quality of raw materials, finished goods and in-process products are within the specifications
• Be overall responsible for Supplier Development and Evaluation programmes with the aim to permanently monitor, control and improve the quality status of raw material and finished goods, initiating corrective action whenever an improvement plan is needed
• Develop and enhance techniques and procedure for inspecting and testing to recommend modifications in products and standards and analysis of customer complaints
• Work closely with the operations team on troubleshooting of product quality issues and process control optimisation
• Communicate with external parties such as suppliers, local authorities, statutory and regulatory authorities or other organisation that have an impact to food and feed safety

To be successful in this role, you must have prior quality management experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Key Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in chemistry, food science or related field of study
• Minimum of six years of work experience in QA/QC/QMS and a minimum of 10 years in a managerial capacity and/or regional capacity in multinational food manufacturing industries
• Technical skills and applications in the areas of chemistry, food science, GMP, ingredients, packaging materials, manufacturing knowledge, etc.
• Knowledge of QA, QC, quality management systems (e.g. GFSI, FSSC22000, ISO, Halal, BRC, etc.), analytical tools, statistical process control, method validations, etc.
• Experience and knowledge in food safety and regulatory affairs requirements of local regulations over the region
• Experience in production operation process
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English with the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively
• A dynamic team player who can work effectively and proactively on cross-functional teams
• Strong communication, people management, project management skills
• Proven leadership skill, problem solving and decision making, flexible, facilitation skills and dynamics
• Positive attitude, independent and a fast learner
