? Oversee and manage Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) operations for KMK, including supervisory oversight of the KMK Testing Laboratory (KTL) for both production and development testing.
? Lead the QA and QC teams to implement effective control plans, ensuring all inspection and testing activities are performed accurately and on schedule.
? Provide leadership in developing, improving, and maintaining quality management techniques such as Statistical Process Control (SPC), Gage Repeatability & Reproducibility (GR&R), and Kaizen.
? Lead regular review, maintenance, and improvement of quality management systems, including the Quality Manual, Quality Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and related documentation within the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ISO 17025 scope.
? Represent KMK during customer audits, supplier evaluations, and external certification assessments.
? Support the development and implementation of IATF 16949 system requirements, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, and MSA.
? Ensure KTL operations comply with ISO 17025, SAMM, and ILAC policies and guidance, including risk assessments, measurement of uncertainties, and conformity decision rules.
? Implement and maintain digital quality data systems for traceability, SPC, and test record management.
? Oversee internal and external quality audits, vendor audits, and follow-up on Corrective Action Requests (CARs) and Preventive Actions (PARs).
? Lead continuous improvement programs covering defect analysis, process capability (Cp/Cpk), cost-of-quality reporting, and customer complaint analysis.
? Drive problem-solving initiatives and root-cause analysis through the administration of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), Failure Reports (FRs), and Customer Complaints, in collaboration with the QC Leader and other departments.
? Monitor, analyze, and report on quality performance metrics, ensuring continual process enhancement and waste reduction.
? Coordinate with R&D and Business Development teams on the qualification of new compounds and products, ensuring proper test validation and specification conformance.
? Work closely with Engineering and Production teams to ensure product quality is maintained during new process implementation, pilot runs, and mass production.
? Collaborate with Sales and Customer Service to address customer requirements, technical specifications, and quality documentation requests.
? Provide oversight into planning and implementation of laboratory tests for both production and development programs.
? Ensure proper coordination of test sample flow, including test requests, handling, and conditioning.
? Maintain accurate QA and laboratory records, databases, and test result archives for traceability and data integrity.
? Establish a training matrix and conduct competency assessments for QA, QC, and Laboratory personnel.
? Promote teamwork and technical growth within the QA organization to strengthen capability and problem-solving culture.
? Ensure, so far as is practicable, the safety, health, and welfare of all employees within the Quality Department.
