We\'ll work with you to progress your success plan and provide opportunities to accelerate your career.We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Manual QA Tester to join our Product Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a clear understanding of software and quality engineering concepts and have experience in manual testing of software applications. You will be responsible for testing our desktop and web Australian payroll and Human Resource applications, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and compliance with Australian regulations. As a Manual QA Software Tester, you will be an integral part in a Product Engineering scrum team which consists of skilled software developers, QAs and analysts all operating in a dynamic and customer focused environment following a predominantly agile methodology.Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Manual testing of both desktop software and web based/cloud applications, and integrations between via web APIs.
  • Create accurate test plans and execute against these for both desktop and web applications.
  • Document and track software defects, discrepancies, and enhancements using Jira, ensuring that all issues and risks are raised and managed to completion.
  • Collaborate with product owners, development team and other stakeholders to understand requirements and specifications.
  • Contribute to developing quality engineering processes and improvements in a scrum environment.
  • Verify that the software complies with Australian payroll legislation and standards.
Skills, knowledge, experience & qualifications:
  • Preference will be given to persons with Australian payroll and/or human resources software application experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in manual software testing, with a focus on desktop, web applications and/or APIs.
  • Ability to compose well-written BDD in Gherkin language as well as understand TDD test cases.
  • Proficient in using Jira for test case management, bug tracking, and project tracking. Knowledge of X-ray test management tool is an advantage.
  • Basic SQL knowledge.
  • Experience working in an Agile/SCRUM environment, with a good understanding of Agile principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with testing APIs using tools such as Postman and JMeter is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, including ability to focus on priorities within a sprint and around releases.
