Job Description

Measurement System & Calibration:

Ensure all measuring equipment and gauges are properly

maintained and calibrated

at all times. Maintain and update the

master calibration list

in the QMS. Review and approve

calibration records

from external vendors to ensure tolerances are met. Handle

equipment and tool requests

for project and product measurement requirements. Prepare and complete

daily equipment checklists

as per schedule.

Process Improvement & Development:

Conduct

Gauge R&R and correlation studies

to qualify equipment conversions and evaluate inspection systems. Design and implement

innovative inspection methods

to reduce process steps while ensuring measurement accuracy. Refine existing inspection processes to reduce overall checking time. Develop and qualify

new measurement systems

, including methods, fixtures, and equipment. Redesign or adjust measurement capabilities to minimize error and correlation issues.

Team Training & Compliance:

Train and guide quality inspectors on appropriate

test and measurement procedures

. Support and ensure implementation of

5S practices

in the workplace. Responsible for generating and monitoring

monthly KPI reports

. Collaborate closely with

engineering, production, and quality teams

to resolve measurement system issues. Ensure full compliance with

regulatory, customer, and management system requirements

(e.g. OSHA, EQA, ATOMIC, ISO standards, RBA). Perform any additional tasks assigned by superior.

Job Requirements

Possess a

Degree or Certificate

in a relevant field (e.g., Mechanical Engineering, QA, Metrology, etc.). Minimum

5 years of working experience

in metrology, dimensional measurement, or quality systems. Proficient in understanding and applying

Work Instructions

. Strong knowledge of

GD&T

(Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). Familiar with

capability analysis reports

and interpretation. Experienced in developing programs for

dimensional measurement equipment

. Proficient in

SPC software

, especially

Minitab

. Skilled in using

Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

. Demonstrates a strong sense of

ownership

, attention to detail, and pride in delivering quality work that supports company success.

Pay: RM4,500.00 - RM6,000.00 per month
