Job Description

Job Purpose:

To coordinate and implement quality assurance and quality control activities in accordance with company policies, project specifications, and industry standards. The QA/QC Coordinator ensures that all works, materials, and documentation comply with quality requirements and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:1. Quality Management

Assist in the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of the Project Quality Plan (PQP). Coordinate inspection and testing activities according to the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP). Ensure all QA/QC documentation is properly recorded, maintained, and submitted. Monitor and verify material certificates, calibration reports, and test results. Coordinate with clients, consultants, and subcontractors for inspection and quality matters.

2. Inspection & Testing

Conduct site inspections to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards. Liaise with third-party testing laboratories and ensure all required tests are completed. Witness and document inspections such as welding, fabrication, installation, and finishing works. Review and ensure proper use of approved materials and procedures.

3. Non-Conformance Control

Identify, record, and follow up on non-conformities (NCRs). Assist in root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation. Ensure closure of NCRs and maintain proper documentation.

4. Documentation & Reporting

Maintain QA/QC records such as inspection reports, test reports, and calibration certificates. Prepare weekly and monthly QA/QC reports for management and client review. Support preparation for audits and client inspections.

5. Coordination

Liaise with site engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors on quality requirements. Support training and awareness sessions for site personnel regarding QA/QC procedures. Coordinate with procurement for material quality and documentation verification.

Qualifications:

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Civil / Electrical / related field). Minimum 3-5 years' experience in QA/QC coordination within construction, oil & gas, or manufacturing. Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System. Familiar with ITPs, PQPs, NCRs, and other QA/QC documentation. Good communication and reporting skills. Able to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
