Job Description

Key Responsibilities



Quality Assurance (QA)



Develop, implement, and maintain QA systems in compliance with

HALAL

,

HACCP

,

GMP

, and

Food Safety

standards. Prepare and update QA documentation, including SOPs, CCP monitoring records, product specifications, and HALAL files. Coordinate and support HALAL certification, renewal, audits, and communication with JAKIM or certification bodies. Conduct internal audits, hygiene inspections, and GMP checks in production areas. Review and approve labels, packaging artwork, and product claims to ensure regulatory compliance. Verify supplier certificates (HALAL, COA, MSDS) and maintain approved supplier lists.

Quality Control (QC)



Perform incoming raw material inspection (ingredients, spices, packaging materials) according to QC standards. Conduct in-process and final product checks for taste, texture, viscosity, pH, aroma, color, and appearance for food pastes, sauces, soups, and ready-made products. Ensure all production follows CCP requirements, temperature control, and food safety handling. Monitor metal detector records, product sealing quality, weight checking, and batch coding accuracy. Perform microbiological testing coordination with third-party labs (TPC, yeast & mold, pathogens). Investigate non-conformities, customer complaints, or product defects and implement corrective/preventive actions.

Documentation & Reporting



Maintain detailed QC reports, batch records, COA, retention samples, and shelf-life monitoring. Assist in product stability tests, sensory evaluation, and shelf-life studies. Prepare weekly and monthly QAQC performance reports for management.

Requirements



Diploma/Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, or related field. Minimum

1-3 years' experience

in food manufacturing, preferably in sauces, pastes, condiments, or ready-to-eat products. Strong understanding of

HALAL requirements

,

HACCP

,

GMP

, and basic microbiology. Knowledge of pH testing, viscosity control, sensory evaluation, and food preservation methods. Detail-oriented, disciplined, and able to document accurately. Able to work closely with production, R&D, procurement, and warehouse teams. Good communication skill and able to liaise with auditors, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
