Job Description

Job Purpose

To ensure all construction activities are executed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and quality requirements. The QA/QC Engineer will implement and maintain the company's Quality Assurance and Quality Control procedures to achieve consistent workmanship and client satisfaction with classic awareness of traditional quality management practices and site discipline.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain

Quality Assurance and Quality Control plans

for the project in line with ISO standards and company procedures. Conduct

inspection and testing

of materials, equipment, and workmanship to ensure compliance with drawings and specifications. Review and approve

method statements, inspection test plans (ITP), material submittals

, and shop drawings. Supervise and monitor all

on-site quality activities

, ensuring proper documentation and traceability. Conduct

internal and external quality audits

, ensuring corrective and preventive actions are implemented effectively. Coordinate with consultants, clients, and subcontractors regarding

quality-related issues

. Prepare and maintain

QA/QC documentation

, including inspection reports, NCRs (Non-Conformance Reports), and quality records. Ensure

proper calibration

of tools and testing equipment. Promote

classic quality awareness

among project teams -- emphasizing traditional construction discipline such as neat workmanship, proper curing, material protection, and adherence to specifications. Provide

training and guidance

to site engineers and supervisors on quality procedures and standard practices. Support the

handover process

by compiling as-built records, quality dossiers, and test certificates.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Construction Management. Minimum

3-5 years of experience

in QA/QC role within construction (preferably high-rise, infrastructure, or industrial projects). Familiar with

ISO 9001 standards

and quality management systems. Strong knowledge of

construction materials, methods, and standards

(BS, ASTM, local regulations). Proficient in

quality documentation

and reporting. Excellent communication and coordination skills. Strong

attention to detail

Pay: RM3,000.00 - RM4,000.00 per month
