Responsible for supports the Quality Control team in ensuring all raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods comply with company, regulatory, and Halal standards. This role includes conducting inspections, documenting results, assisting in audits, and maintaining food safety standards in line with HACCP, GMP, MeSTI, Halal, and other relevant certifications

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Control & Assurance
1. Perform daily inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products.
2. Ensure compliance with product specifications, Halal requirements, GMP, HACCP, and MeSTI standards.
3. Assist in implementing quality plans, SOPs, and control points.
Quality Control
1. Collect and prepare samples for microbiological, chemical, or sensory testing.
2. Verify product labeling, weights, and packaging compliance.
Documentation & Reporting
1. Maintain accurate QC records, inspection logs, and test results.
2. Prepare daily QC reports and submit to the reporting line.
Audits & Compliance
1. Support internal and external audits (JAKIM Halal, GMP, HACCP, Veterinary Health Marks, etc.).
2. Assist in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for any non-conformance.
Process Monitoring
1. Monitor production lines for hygiene, temperature, and operational standards.
2. Ensure calibration of measuring and testing equipment.
Continuous Improvement
1. Provide feedback on quality trends to improve processes.
2. Suggest improvements to reduce wastage and enhance food safety.
Safety & Hygiene
1. Follow all safety and hygiene protocols in processing areas.
2. Report hazards or deviations immediately to management.
3. Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company or management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
Diploma or Certificate in Food Science, Food Technology, Biotechnology, Chemistry, or related fields.
0 - 2 years in a food manufacturing QC/QA role (fresh graduates encouraged to apply).
Experience in Halal-certified plants is an added advantage.
Basic knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, GMP, Halal).
Basic knowledge of food science, microbiology, or food technology.
Familiar with Malaysian food regulations and Halal requirements.
Awareness of quality management systems and audit processes.
Understanding of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and critical control points (CCPs).
Understanding of sampling, testing, and inspection procedures.
Competency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) for reports.
Strong attention to detail.
Communication skills to liaise with production teams.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Team player but able to work independently.
Time management and ability to handle multiple tasks.
