Job Description

Job Responsibilities:



Quality Control



Assist in maintain implementation of food safety and quality management system in the organization. Inspect raw materials and packaging based on COA, specifications, and sampling plan. Record results and release/reject accordingly. Monitor production lines for hygiene, process parameters, and product conformity (appearance, weight, labelling, etc.). Conduct final product checks before release; ensure correct labelling, batch number, and packaging condition. Perform or send samples for physical, chemical, or microbiological testing. Maintain result records. Report deviations, issue NCRs, and follow up on corrective/preventive actions with relevant departments. Ensure all QC instruments (balances, thermometers, etc.) are calibrated and maintained. Maintain QC records -- inspection forms, test reports, calibration logs, COA files -- for traceability. Support external audits, GMP inspections, and HACCP verification activities.

Halal Compliance, Certification & Documentation:



Execute policies, procedures and guidelines to ensure Halal assurance activities are according to regulations, standards and business requirements. Handling of regulatory affairs matters with other governmental bodies pertaining to Halal matters. Ensure compliance with Halal standards and regulations in all aspects of the business operations. Observe the changes in Halal regulations and industry practices to provide guidance and recommendations for continuous improvement. Manage the Halal certification process and maintain a valid Halal certification, which may include liaising with certifying bodies and completing necessary documentation. Register new products and apply halal certificate according to the requirements of JAKIM regulation. Collaborate with Purchasing Department to ensure the sourcing of ingredients and materials purchased comply with Halal requirement. Handle HALAL audit and investigate any non-compliance to implement corrective actions as needed. Ensure all records and other relevant documentation pertaining to HALAL compliance are defined, identified, documented and updated. Conduct or assist in Halal awareness training for staff (especially production and warehouse teams).

Job Requirements:



Minimum of Diploma/Bachelor's Degree Halal Industry Management/Halal Food Management/Halal Quality Assurance/Food Technology/Quality Control/Assurance or equivalent. Certified Halal Executive under Halal Professional Board (HPB), JAKIM. At least 2 years of working experience in related field. Good knowledge in HALAL Management, ISO/HACCP and MESTI. HACCP, GMP, ISO9001 & ISO22000 Internal Auditor certification is an added advantage. Possess good written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Knowledge of Malaysia HALAL System Management (MHSM) and quality (QA/QC) standards. Problem analysis and problem solving. Planning and organizing.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM2,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month
