Job Purpose

• Examine products and materials for defects or deviations from specifications to ensure quality and adherence
• Inspections and tests in accordance with approved inspection and test plans

Key Accountabilities

(1 KA) Read blueprints and specifications as well as monitor operations to ensure that they meet the set standards
(1 KA) Recommend adjustments to the operational process as well as inspect, test, and measure materials and products
(1 KA) Accept or reject as well as remove all products and materials that fail to meet specifications
(1 KA) Surveylance inspection during construction and fabrication activities.
(1 KA) Review NDT results and evaluate for complience to codes and standards
(1 KA) Review manufacturing documentation for complience to contract and specifications and endorse accordingly.
(1 KA) Discuss inspection results with those responsible and report inspection and test data
(1 KA) Issue NCR, SCAR and QAN as required where defective workmanship of deviations from Procedural requirements are detected.


Qualification(s)

• Qualified welding inpectors (SWIP 3.1)
• Certification in Quality Control (CSWIP / PCN / ASNT /API)
