Job Description

• Prepare accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects.

• Conduct detailed cost analysis, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.

• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure cost-effective project execution.

• Evaluate and negotiate subcontractor and supplier contracts to optimize project costs.

• Monitor project progress and expenses, providing timely reports to management.

• Manage variations and change orders, assessing their impact on project budgets.

• Perform risk analysis and identify potential cost-saving opportunities.

• Provide cost advice and support to project teams, ensuring adherence to budget constraints.

• Participate in value engineering initiatives to enhance project value while minimizing costs.

• Stay updated on industry trends and regulations related to cost management.

• Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in related field
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.

• Proficiency in cost estimation, budgeting, and financial analysis.

• Strong knowledge of construction materials, methods, and practices.

• Excellent mathematical and analytical skills.

• Effective communication and negotiation abilities.

• Proficiency in relevant software, such as Excel, CostX, or similar tools.

• Detail-oriented with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Strong organizational and time management skills.

• Familiarity with local construction regulations and standards.

• Professional certification (e.g., MRICS) is a plus.
