Job Description

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible in leading the quality engineering and lab technician functions to lead proactive product optimization and risk reduction. We are looking for someone guide the future state roadmap for lab transformation to ensure efficient testing efforts with testing and predictive quality methods. EHS and 5S is important to ensure the safety of all personnel and maintain the standards in the plant. You will manage the certifications and customer audit compliance and have previously worked in a manufacturing plant in production or quality control. You will report to the Plant Manager, and be based in Petaling Jaya, Malaysia.

Main Responsibilities

Member of PJ Plant Leadership team

EHSMS Element 4 Ownership \xe2\x80\x93 EHS Documentation.

Lead Plant Quality Improvement Plans driving year on year continuous improvement.

Be the Plant Quality Management Representative (QMR) for certification requirements and those of the customers.

Maintain Quality System following ISO/TS16949 and customer specific requirements ensuring zero non-conformance to certification and customer requirements. Lead corrective actions to address any findings for audits / certification.

Responsible for external, and Internal auditing. Ensure corrective actions are done according to ensure conformance to mentioned standards.

Responsible for Customer Complaints (CAIR) leading teams for Problem Solving and Continuous Improvement activities driving Defects Reduction.

Responsible for QC Lab management, assure testing meeting testing methods, and testing reliability.

Non-conforming material handling and control, leading team root cause analysis and actions for reducing non-conformance and reducing non-conforming material working with suppliers.

Develop QC Team members encompassing Incoming, In-Process Control, Quality System.

Participate in PPAP approvals where relevant.

Lead Customer and Certification audits.

Qualifications

Degree in Chemical Engineering or Chemistry from recognized institutes of higher learning.

5 years of experience in quality assurance. Experience in automotive industry and familiarity with Chemical / Coatings production is an advantage.

People management experience

Experience with ISO/TS16949 requirements and having ISO/TS16949 auditor certification will be preferred.

Good at problem solving, and collaboration

Familiar with automotive OEM quality requirement and related procedures.

Use automotive (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, QFD)

Good oral and written English skills to communicate with customers.

Skills on data analysis area.

Six Sigma Black is a good to have.
