JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Functional Tester

Job Purpose:

Functional tester for application testing, project testing and any other testing activities initiated by TCOE.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop test scripts, test conditions, input test data, and expected results for one or more test plans, including component, assembly, product, performance, user acceptance and technical architecture tests.
Develop, update, and maintain testing standards and procedures.
Execute test scripts.
Record problems and issues in accordance with the project\'s problem and issue management plans.
Work with the application team to resolve any issues that arise out of the testing process.
Participate in the release control process (when the application is transferred from the build team to the test team) to ensure that solutions meet business requirements.
Validate product fixes.
Inform the test lead/test manager of any issues that may affect the schedule, budget, or quality of the product or the testing process.

Job Specification:

Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc.):

Diploma with Computer/IT related major.

Relevant Work Experience:

Manual Testing, Test Automation, Test Management, Agile Testing, Banking (especially Internet Banking)

Ability to develop test conditions and expected results based on the application requirements
Strong attention to details - able to document and follow detailed instructions within test scripts as well as defects tracking documents (i.e., steps to recreate the problem)
Understanding of testing concepts and how testing fits in with the overall project life cycle
Strong knowledge in Banking
Able to handle assignment independently with minimum supervision
Technical knowledge in banking applications
Must be familiar with Agile testing and DevOps methodologies.
