JOB DESCRIPTION:

Job Title: Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Purpose:

Be part of the core development team and ensure quality of all software that is moved into production.

Key Responsibilities:

Design test strategies, specifications and test plans through user stories.
Coordination with Test team and other project stakeholders for smooth and timely delivery
Coordination with leadership for required support
Report the project health to various stake holders including Senior Management
Responsible for managing and creating key automation scripts for the program
Managing Test Execution and Reporting of automation test results
Prepare and share the best practices and innovations
Use bug tracking tools to report bugs (JIRA).
Analyses test results and report them to SCRUM roles.
Raise an alert when an important issue is likely to put in jeopardy the whole project.
Participate in a small, experienced, energetic team on a rapid, agile delivery schedule.
Design test cases and test scenarios to ensure both new and previous features.
Execute test cases to ensure business scenario.

Job Specification:

Qualifications (Basic Degree/Diploma etc):

BSc in Computer Science or related field.

Professional Qualification and/or Regulatory, Licensing requirements:

Having CTFL (Certified Tester Foundation Level) /CTAL (Certified Tester Advanced Level) certification is an advantage.

Relevant Work Experience:

At least 5 years

Required Competencies and Skills:

Technical/Functional skills:

Strong analytical, communication skills and relationship management skills
Strong experience on Automation framework set up for large programs
Must be able to be an individual contributor and drive design and strategy exercises for the program.
Experience with testing SQL and Database technologies
Knowledge of testing cloud-based applications
Knowledge of testing on Mobile devices
Experience with GIT, Confluence, and JIRA and other bug tracking and test management software
Financial services industry experience
5+ years of experience in managing Automation for Testing projects using Automation Testing tools
Good knowledge and experience on Services test automation using Platform, SOAP UI or similar tools.
Good knowledge on Selenium Java, Cucumber
Good knowledge on testing process and methodologies
Nice to have testing certificates.

Personal skills (Soft Competencies [Core/Leadership]):

Good at communicating with team or project members.
