: Quality Assurance Specialist (Multiple Levels)

About the Role

At Primitive Technology Sdn.Bhd., our Quality Assurance team is the backbone of our product reliability. We are seeking passionate and skilled QA Specialists at both senior and junior levels to ensure the delivery of our cutting-edge technology solutions. In these roles, you will be integral to implementing robust testing strategies and identifying potential issues early in the product lifecycle. Successful candidates will be placed in a role matching their experience, from those just starting their career to seasoned experts ready to lead.

These full-time positions are based in our Kuala Lumpur office, where you will work closely with our development teams in a collaborative, agile environment.

What you'll be doing

Test Planning & Execution: Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and cases to validate the functionality, performance, security, and usability of our software applications. (Senior focus: Architect the overall test strategy. Junior focus: Learn and execute detailed test cases).

Defect Management: Collaborate with developers to reproduce, triage, and document identified defects, providing clear and actionable feedback.

Test Automation: Contribute to automating repetitive tests to streamline the testing process and improve efficiency. (Senior focus: Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks. Junior focus: Learn to write and maintain automated scripts under guidance).

Quality Advocacy: Participate in code and design reviews, providing input to ensure quality is considered from the outset. (Senior focus: Drive quality standards and best practices across teams).

Process Improvement: Continuously research and help implement new testing methodologies and tools to enhance our quality assurance efforts.

Mentorship & Collaboration: Work effectively within cross-functional teams. (Senior focus: Mentor junior team members and lead QA initiatives. Junior focus: Learn from seniors and actively contribute to team goals).

What we're looking for:

Essential Qualifications for

All Levels

:

A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical team members. A proactive mindset and a passion for technology and quality.
Additional Qualifications for

Senior Candidates:

3+ years of proven experience in a software quality assurance role. Expert-level proficiency in test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, JUnit/TestNG). Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript for building and maintaining test automation frameworks. Demonstrated experience in integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI). Proven ability to lead test initiatives, define quality metrics, and mentor other team members.
