Job Summary: The QA/QC Manager is responsible for establishing, maintaining, and managing the Quality Management System (QMS) of a phytonutrient extraction plant. This role involves leading and overseeing the QA/QC team, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and driving continuous improvement in product quality and systems. Job Duties and Responsibilities: Team Leadership: Lead and manage the QA/QC team, providing expertise and guidance to ensure the proper execution of quality-related activities. Quality Management System (QMS): Establish, maintain, and coordinate all Quality Management Activities, including supporting certification and quality initiatives within the plant. Quality Systems Design: Design effective quality systems, procedures, and processes in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance and efficiency in the quality systems. Compliance Management: Implement quality principles to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, applicable regulations, and industry standards. This includes developing and maintaining local procedures, work instructions, records, and relevant quality system documents. Quality Events: Coordinate and investigate quality events, such as deviations, non-conformances, and complaints, and develop action plans for continuous improvement in product quality and quality systems. Inspections and Audits: Manage both internal and external quality inspections and audits, including reporting, responding to observations, and tracking action plans. Supplier Qualification: Support the supplier qualification program for the affiliate, including audits, quality agreements, and performance monitoring. Quality Planning: Develop and execute quality plans as needed and provide guidance to various departments and teams to ensure compliance and high-quality standards. Quality Training: Coordinate a quality training program to ensure compliance with identified quality goals and standards, promoting the highest level of quality and compliance. Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Chemistry, Pharmacy, Biology, Microbiology, or a related technical/scientific field is preferred. Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant working experience in quality assurance and quality control management. Knowledge of product, process, and customer requirements, along with familiarity with GMP and ISO systems, ICH guidelines, and other regulatory standards, especially in relation to the manufacturing of active pharmaceutical ingredients. Strong commitment to compliance, scientific quality, and integrity. Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and the local language. Position is based in Bintulu, Sarawak.
