Responsibilities, Authorities and Accountabilities

Quality Assurance & Quality Control:

Develop and implement QA/QC processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and customer requirements. Monitor and supervising a group of QC team for daily inspections and identify areas for improvement

Documentation and Reporting:

Developing procedures, work of instructions, form creations, testing plan, test procedures, criteria of inspection, appearance of defects limit, product and process specifications, records of quality control, quality analysis report, customer complaint report and any report required by Management.

Root Cause Analysis:

Work closely with other manufacturing departments and business process owners to address quality related concerns and prevent recurrence. Provide solutions using problem solving methods and data performance analysis.

Process Improvement:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements that enhance product quality. Provide guidance on best practices to mitigate risks and improve overall efficiency.

Use of Calibration Equipment

Proficiency in using calibration tools and equipment, such as vernier callipers, micrometres, digital callipers, and gauge blocks.

Measurement Standards

Familiarity with national and international measurement standards (e.g., ISO, NIST).

Customer Focus:

Understand and align quality processes with the diverse requirements, ensure products meet requirements including completing customer complaint report, customer specific requirements (CSR), coordinate ship hold of goods and field of return.

Training and Development:

Conduct training sessions for employees on quality standards, procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Foster a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization.

Competency Requirements

Degree in Engineering (preferably Mechanical) or Degree in Science or any Metal Technology courses. Minimum of 5 years' working experience in a manufacturing environment, candidate with a focus on metal processing and fabrication considered a significant advantage. Excellent knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and Quality Management System (QMS). Sound technical knowledge in product and process through Quality tools such as Control Plan, FMEA, Total Quality Management (TQM), 7QC tools, 5 why's analysis and 8D methodology. Operational skills, strong understanding of operations and leadership skills to guide and influence quality initiatives. Understanding of quality control processes and how calibration impacts product quality. Certification in metrology or a related field (e.g., ASQ Certified Calibration Technician). Awareness of regulatory requirements and standards related to calibration and measurement. Good written communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Pay: RM3,800.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
