The Quality Manager is a CAAM-approved Nominated Post Holder responsible for ensuring that the ATO consistently meets the regulatory, safety, and training standards required by CAAM and the organisation. The role provides independent oversight of all training activities to verify compliance with the ATO's approved procedures, manuals, and quality system.
This position leads the development, monitoring, and continuous improvement of the ATO's quality and compliance framework to ensure safe, effective, and audit-ready training operations. The Quality Manager serves as the key advisor and advocate on all governance matters related to training, learning, and development--driving alignment with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and industry best practices.
The role champions a strong quality culture across the Academy and supports strategic initiatives that enhance training standards, operational efficiency, and regulatory confidence.
Key Accountability

Act as the CAAM-approved Nominated Post Holder (Quality)

Lead, maintain, and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS)
in alignment with CAAM, other regulators and the company/organisational requirements.
Develop and enforce QA policies, procedures, and controls
to standardise and strengthen all training and instructional activities.
Plan and c
onduct systematic internal audits
to verify that approved policies and procedures are consistently followed, identify gaps, and drive corrective and preventive actions to strengthen training quality.
Monitor training operations and delivery
to ensure compliance with ATO standards, manuals, and regulatory requirements.
Oversee instructor governance
, including scheduling, competency records, and deployment in accordance with regulatory and business needs.

, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and audit readiness.
Proactively monitor quality performance indicators and trends
, using data and feedback to recommend improvements, mitigate risks, and prevent recurrence of non-compliance issues.
Collaborate with stakeholders
to develop, review, and refine policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives that impact training quality.
Ensure audit readiness at all times
, including maintaining updated manuals, records, evidence, and organisational processes to support CAAM and other regulatory inspections, renewal audits, and compliance reviews.
Champion a strong quality culture
across the Academy through effective communication, process optimisation, and best-practice implementation.
Qualifications and Working Experience

A bachelor's degree in Aviation, Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field. Professional certification in Quality (ISO 9001 Lead/Internal Auditor) or aviation regulatory compliance is highly preferred
