, and quantity surveying practices. This dual-role position demands excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills, as well as the ability to work collaboratively across departments to ensure project timelines and budgets are met.
Key Responsibilities:
Planning & Scheduling:
Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using
Primavera P6
and
Microsoft Project
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to gather input for planning and scheduling
Prepare
baseline schedules
,
look-ahead plans
, and
progress updates
Monitor and report on project progress, identifying potential delays or conflicts
Analyze schedule impacts and recommend mitigation strategies
Participate in project and progress meetings, providing planning and scheduling support
Quantity Surveying:
Prepare and review
Bills of Quantities (BQ)
and
cost estimates
Monitor and control project costs to ensure alignment with the budget
Evaluate and verify contractor claims and variations
Assist in procurement, tendering, and contract administration
Support project cost reporting and financial forecasting
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in
Engineering
,
Construction Management
,
Quantity Surveying
, or a related field (preferred)
3-5 years
of relevant experience in project planning and quantity surveying, preferably in the
construction
and
oil & gas
sectors
Proficient in
Primavera P6
and
Microsoft Project
Strong understanding of construction workflows, sequencing, and cost control
Ability to analyze
critical paths
, forecast timelines, and manage project milestones
Key Skills & Requirements:
Willingness and ability to
travel frequently
to remote project locations
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently under pressure
Excellent coordination, interpersonal, and communication skills
Familiarity with
Petronas Technical Standards (PTS)
,
OGSP
, and
Malaysian codes of practice
Must possess or be able to obtain the following:
OGSP Certificate
CIDB Green Card
Other relevant industry certifications
Job Type: Contract

Pay: RM3,500.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
