Job Description

:
1) Cost Estimation and Budgeting:
- Prepare accurate and detailed quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for interior design projects, considering materials, labor, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
- Collaborate with the design team to develop realistic budgets that align with the client\'s requirements and project scope.
- Monitor and track project costs throughout the project lifecycle, identifying and addressing any cost overruns or variances. 2) Procurement and Supplier Management:
- Source and evaluate suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive bids for materials, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment.
- Prepare procurement schedules, issue purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and resolving any procurement-related issues. 3) Contract Administration:
- Review and evaluate project contracts and agreements, identifying contractual obligations, deliverables, and milestones.
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions, managing change orders, and resolving any contractual disputes or claims.
- Collaborate with legal and project management teams to address legal and contractual issues as they arise. 4) Cost Control and Value Engineering:
- Implement cost control measures to track and manage project expenditures, including ongoing monitoring of budgets, commitments, and actual costs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and propose value engineering options without compromising quality and design standards.
- Collaborate with the project team to assess and recommend cost-effective alternatives during the design and construction phases. 5) Financial Reporting:
- Prepare regular financial reports, including cost forecasts, cash flow projections, and cost to-complete analyses.
- Provide accurate and timely updates on project financials to the project team, management, and clients.
- Assist in the preparation of final accounts and ensure that all financial documentation is complete and accurate. Job Requirements:
1) Proven experience as a quantity surveyor in the interior design industry or construction industry.
2) Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, cost estimation techniques, and construction materials.
3) Proficiency in quantity takeoff and cost estimation software/tools.
4) Familiarity with relevant building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
5) Excellent analytical and numerical skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial calculations.
6) Effective communication and negotiation skills to collaborate with team members, suppliers, and clients.
7) Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
8) Professional certifications in quantity surveying or cost management (e.g., RICS, CIOB) are desirable. Location: Seksyen U12, 40170 Shah Alam, Selangor Darul Ehsan Job Type: Full-time Salary: RM6,000.00 - RM8,000.00 per month Benefits:
