• Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in quantity surveying or contract management.
• Able to speak in English.
• Strong skills in cost management, procurement, contract administration, financial reporting and value engineering.
• Knowledgeable about construction processes and regulations; proficient in using quantity surveying software.
• Excellent analytical, numerical, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Position based in Penang.

TanggungjawabThe Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for the preparation, review, and management of contracts associated with construction projects. This role involves extensive coordination with the project team, finance team, and external parties to ensure that all contracts comply with company policies and legal requirements.

• Carry out measurement and take off quantities from drawings to prepare cost estimates.
• Obtain quotations from suppliers and subcontractors and update the building cost data bank.
• Coordinate the sourcing and procurement of all items required by the site, liaising with the site team/trading arm for issuing POs, material deliveries, invoices, and delivery orders.
• Assist in cost control analysis, method statements, procedures, program, and project cash flow forecasts.
• Review and verify the certification of work and materials supplied by subcontractors and suppliers as prepared by the QS Consultant.
• Verify and check cost estimates and bills of quantities prepared by the QS consultant.
• Conduct joint site valuations (including materials on-site) with relevant parties to verify progress claims and final accounts statement for closing accounts.
• Handle post-contract administration.
• Perform cost control and analysis.
• Prepare contract budgets.
• Maintain the Quality System within the Department.
• Keep superiors informed of all contractual and site matters.
• Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by superiors.
