In the Novo Nordisk Malaysia Affiliate, we are looking for a Product Specialist to cover both the Rare Blood Disorders and Rare Endocrine Disorders therapeutic areas. About the department
The Rare Disease department in Novo Nordisk Malaysia consists of a small, highly motivated, energetic and focused team who is passionate about providing a better quality of life to patients.

You will report to the Rare Disease Sales & Marketing Manager, Malaysia

The position
As a Product Specialist, you are the front liner representing the company, who will hold patient-centric scientific dialogues and discuss the benefits and features of Novo Nordisk\'s products with healthcare professionals.
Other role tasks are as follows but are not limited to:

  • You have a designated territory you will oversee for the financial and non-financial targets of your territory.
  • You are given autonomy to conduct territory business plans, suggest and discuss relevant action plans, and implement the agreed action plan in collaboration with marketing, medical and colleagues within the function effectively to drive overall financial and non-financial performance of your territory.
  • You are required to maintain up-to-date information on customers and competitive landscape, and report all these informations into the company\'s system in a timely manner.
  • You are also required to actively take part in exhibitions, symposiums and congresses as needed, and drive high-quality medical educational activities in order to drive awareness of disease management and knowledge of products among healthcare professionals, and to strengthen customer relationships.
Qualifications
  • To be considered for the role you should possess a bachelor\'s degree in science or equivalent, with strong sales and communication skills.
  • Minimum of 3 years of pharmaceutical field sales or key account management experience in niche/rare disease markets in Central & East Malaysia will be an added advantage. Familiarity with government tenders and listing processes is a plus.
  • As a person, you are a self-starter, goal-getter, highly engaged and positive, dynamic with excellent networking abilities.
  • You have strong ethical conduct and are at the same time creative. You can work independently and willing to quickly adjust to new situations in a continuously developing environment.
  • You are fluent in both English and Bahasa Malaysia (verbal and written), hold a valid driving licence and possess your own vehicle. You are willing to travel regularly within Malaysia (West & East Malaysia).
