JOB DESCRIPTION

• Prepare lab batches of dry rubber and other necessary materials from detailed formulations and accurately calculate each material required per batch size.
• Knowledge and experience in dry rubber production process.
• Mix materials using standard mixing equipment, measure properties including total solids, pH, viscosity and other characteristics as needed.
• Conduct R&D study for value added, regulatory compliance, quality improvement, or cost reduction of existing products
• Carry out hands on research on process enhancement, new material development, or new rubber technology for quality improvement or cost down initiative.
• Use various tools to measure final rubber product physical properties including tensile strength, elongation, film thickness, rubber weight and other physical properties as directed.
• Demonstrates proficiency, competency, and understanding of fundamental laboratory procedures and performs testing with precision and accuracy.
• Support quality control testing and research and development activities as needed.
• Record all formulations, chemical and physical property results and subjective observations throughout the development process in a laboratory notebook or designated documentation format.
• Assist with lab transfer of developed processes and product to manufacturing and assist manufacturing with rubber line start up and trouble shooting.
• Maintain lab to 5s standards relating to safety and efficiency.
• Maintain company safety and security standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

JOB Requirement 1) Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree with relevant Engineering background (Polymer Engineering, Material Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.) or equivalent from reputable universities. Preferably in Rubber Industry Experience. 2) Good command of English & Malay (spoken and written). 3) Results oriented, strong follow up and good negotiation skills. 4) Pleasant personality and able to interact all level of people.
