Job Description

Responsibilities 1. Perform multi-step organic synthesis in a fast-paced R&D environment. 2. Hands on experience in carrying out organic synthesis and trouble-shooting which are a must with the required Skills and Abilities. Must have chemical engineering experience and knowledge in developing process data sheets, process flow diagram, process design basis (also called BOD-basis of design), Process philosophies, Piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID), Block flow diagram (BFD), DP-DT (design pressure-design temperature) diagram, 3. Minimum 3 years hands on experience in steroidal APIs and intermediates synthesis field. 4. Possess an understanding of basic reaction mechanisms and reactivity and then come up with chemical engineering outputs to design process for commercial scale-up. 5. Demonstrated experience with organic synthesis laboratory techniques (e.g., moisture sensitive, distillation, extraction, TLC). 6. Experience using common analytical techniques for monitoring and determining product quality (HPLC and pH) 7. Good technical writing skills, with an ability to accurately and successfully document synthetic procedures. 8. Adaptable, fast learner, able to think critically, proactively solve problems and maintain composure in stressful or ambiguous situations. 9. Need to support to R&D Scientist and senior level colleagues. 10. Effective interpersonal skills in a team-oriented work environment. 11. Knowledge of Technology Transfer Document (TTD) preparation. 12. Ability to scale up from Lab to commercial scale. Qualifications and Requirements 1. Master of Science in Chemistry / Bachelor of Technology in Chemical Engineering with minimum 3 years of API industrial experience. 2. Strong organizational and time management skills. 3. Extensive process and scale up experience. 4. Should update and maintain the laboratory notebooks.
