Job Summary:

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, inspecting, and recording all incoming goods at the supermarket. This role ensures that deliveries are accurate, in good condition, and properly documented, while coordinating with suppliers and internal departments to maintain smooth inventory flow.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive all incoming stock deliveries and verify the quantity and quality against delivery orders (DOs) and invoices. Check goods for damage, expiry dates, and compliance with product specifications. Record and update receiving logs, stock sheets, or system entries accurately. Report any discrepancies (e.g., missing items, damaged goods) to the supervisor or supplier immediately. Ensure proper handling, labeling, and storage of received items in the correct locations. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the receiving area and storage zones. Coordinate with purchasing, inventory, and department heads on incoming goods and stock levels. Follow all safety and hygiene standards, especially for perishable and frozen goods. Assist in stock counts and audits when required.

Requirements:

Minimum SPM or equivalent. 1-2 years of experience in goods receiving, warehousing, or logistics (preferably in retail or supermarket). Basic knowledge of inventory systems and paperwork (DOs, invoices, stock sheets). Attention to detail, responsible, and physically fit (lifting and carrying may be required). Able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
