Perform quarterly capacity analysis, monitoring and planning report (server resource utilization) and quarterly health check on servers. Provide action and remediation plan on any finding.
Conduct PM and system health check on a quarterly basis (4 times a year).
Provide on-site support for the Operating System and its related software (MS Windows Server, Hyper-V, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, VMware vSphere ESXi, VMware vSphere vCenter, VMware vSphere SRM, VMware vSphere VROps
Monitor and maintain all servers and OS related services during daily and recovery operations or testing to keep the system healthy and to ensure that systems are performing within the expected range.
Unlimited on-line (remote) and on-site support for listed assets and its related System Software
Perform 24x7 monitoring for Tier1 - Tier3 servers
Assist to ensure completion of security-related tasks, including fixing, firmware or kernel upgrade, hardening and patching (2nd level support only)
Assist new IT projects such as server deployment, migration services, integration to monitoring/infra tools, server IT security scanning, end-to-end testing and day to day operational work (BAU).
Involved in ticketing tools for any issue escalation and problem-solving resolution.
Assist on automation of current process related to the operating system.
Able to work with other Supplier and Product Principal to resolve any problem related to Windows, Red Hat and VMware vSphere infrastructure.
maintain VMware vSphere optimal infrastructure state at all times.ensure SRM replication is in-sync state. ensure and maintain VMware vSphere farm resources. perform fail-over and fail-back of VMs under SRM protection and on-site standby during Live4Run or Disaster Recovery pre-test as per BNM's request.
Assist in server provisioning
Prepare and maintain VM templates (Windows and Red Hat)
Perform P2V as needed (Physical to Virtual) Backup & Recovery
Assist in backup and restoration activities including the Disaster Recovery (DR) activity Security, Patch & Upgrade
Perform VMware vSphere security patches or hot-fixes that are related to the VMWare operating system.
Perform VMware version upgrade. This is inclusive of VMware vSphere ESXi, VMware vSphere vCenter, VMware vSphere SRM, VMware vSphere VROps(Aria)
Assist BNM's patching team on patching activities for Windows and Red Hat security patches or hot-fixes that are related to the server's operating system (Level 2 support).
Perform system driver update when required.
Verify, comply and document the operating system servers' security settings for all servers including any exceptions / deviations to the recommended servers' settings.
Test the new release of system service packs, patches or fixes before deploying in production environment (The Supplier shall provide the details on method of this test)
Perform hardening based on BNM's security hardening checklist guidelines.
Troubleshooting & Server performance
Analyse and review system related logs and perform server performance tuning.
Manage problem escalation process with software and hardware principle on any system or server issue
Maintain latest inventory and documentations of all servers' specifications and software installed on the server.
Provide documentation i.e. PM report, problem reporting (RCA) and analysis report
Advice, setup and test new products that may help the current infrastructure.
Support the related Red Hat software and other Open-Source Software (Mandatory: Red Hat Clustering, Satellite, DNS, SE Linux, Resilient Storage).
Support the related Windows server software such as IIS, Microsoft cluster, Active Directory and DNS
Support the related VMware vSphere software such as vCenter, SRM and VROps
