Internal communications support knowledge sharing and information flow in the Southeast Asian region.
Events coordinate and manage regional events (online, in-person, hybrid) including training, and identify opportunities for the company to engage at other events.
Content creation help technical teams with creating communications-related content using e.g. MS PowerPoint, Word, visuals (photo selection etc.).
Publications edit and proofread written reports, proposals, publicity materials and other documents.
Translations coordinate translations of written materials, mainly from English to Bahasa Indonesia/Malaysia and Mandarin.
Media engagement liaise with the Southeast Asian Regional Director and the Global Communications Director on proactive or responsive media opportunities, as well as identify relevant stakeholders for potential engagement.
Capacity building provide basic communications-related training for regional staff on e.g. design of materials (e.g. Ppt, posters, flyers), writing, social media and other communications-related skills
Event management:
Support the staff with the planning and delivery of internal and external meetings, conferences, training courses, workshops, etc. in the SEA region.
Engage with relevant staff to understand support requirements for planned events.
Support planning and preparation of events (help manage event budgets, identify appropriate venues, prepare delegate packs and other material).
Communicate with organizers and attendees (invitations, information,
registration/welcoming, general enquiries). * Coordinate logistical support (travel arrangements, transportation, booth/room set-up, technology, catering, social media and photos).
Global
Global branding communicate regional requirements and input to global initiatives, such as a new company video.
Communications strategy collate inputs from the region and channeling them into the global communications strategy and planned activities.
Website updates manage regional content updates, including project overviews, new joiners, vacancies.
Social media channels plan and create regional content for global Twitter and LinkedIn accounts; while exploring regional networks and opportunities to engage, or support high level engagement.
Photo library update the central image repository with relevant photos from the Southeast Asian region.
Coordination of communication-related initiatives act as a focal point for initiatives needing global design or other requirements, ensuring effective project management and delivery of work.
Leadership take ownership and be the strategic lead for one of our communications-related global platforms or processes.
General
Contribute significantly to the broader functioning of the team, including participation in management processes and support for the planning and delivery of other services.
Provide general support to the Finance and Operations team as and when required.
Essential Qualifications, Experience, Skills

Basic university degree in mass communications, public relations,
At least 5 years experience managing communications in a related field or sector
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and proficiency in other regional languages such as Bahasa Indonesia and Mandarin is an advantage
Experience in media or stakeholder engagement in Malaysia and Indonesia
Familiarity with digital platforms and main social media channels
MS Office skills (working with templates in Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Good editing, proof-reading and writing skills
Experience with video and audio editing
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams
Excellent organizational and time management skills
