Role summary : Key Focuses Of This Role Include The Regional Compensation & Benefits Lead for APJ, will lead the implementation and ongoing oversight of global compensation & benefits framework within the region. The incumbent will be a subject matter expert in prevailing benefits market trends within the region and will have advanced knowledge of compensation practices. (50% of time) Gathering knowledge of local policies & practices that will inform our global compensation and benefits framework, along with regional and local design principles. Contribute to discussions with your global total reward peers to set and evolve our global Total Rewards philosophy. Communicate the philosophy with local HR. Partner with local HR to identify and develop an action plan to address any gaps/opportunities between local programs and the philosophy (e.g., implement a new benefit to meet a minimum standard of our philosophy, educate managers on our Thrive program to promote utilization). Co-creating benefits policies that are appropriate for the region/country. Collaborating with and consulting with stakeholders (30% of time) Partnering closely with the Total Rewards team to promote global Total Rewards practices locally. Streamline processing by creating and/or providing communication templates (emails, signs, newsletter postings) with local HR. Understand what local founders are asking for and how we can develop a global or local communication plan to support program utilization. Building strong and collaborative partnerships at the local, regional and global levels. Schedule regular meetings with key stakeholders. Leverage subject matter expertise to consult with local HR compensation and benefits leads as well as local leadership. Manage a team of local HR professionals. (20% of time) Provide guidance and support to local HR colleagues to administer local compensation and benefits programs, including designing local benefits programs and leveraging global compensation and benefits practices locally. Potential to manage direct reports in the future. This role will sit within the HR Total Rewards team reporting to the Head of Global Benefits (US). Success in this role requires constructive collaboration at all levels and across all geographies, strong communication skills, an ability to simplify complex topics and a high level of positive energy/ a can do attitude. Since this is a regional role with global scope, a willingness and ability to participate in calls with colleagues across the globe is necessary. This role will work closely with the Head of Compensation (US) and broader compensation and benefit teams. Primary Responsibilities Topic Details Collaborate with and consulting stakeholders (30% of time) Leadership and Ability to Influence Lead regular (e.g., monthly) regional meetings with local HR colleagues managing C&B programs. Act as the voice of the region for the global compensation & benefits teams by playing an active role in influencing and/or implementing global designs and frameworks. Be a thought partner for local Compensation and Benefits leads and other HRBPs within the region. Promote understanding of compensation and benefits policies and principles and execute against them. Serve as escalation point for regional HRBP\'s and Talent Acquisition regarding complex compensation and benefits queries that come up. Primary Compensation & Benefits Liaison Between Local and Global Colleagues Participate in local, regional and global discussions and decision-making processes. Provide global and regional considerations when participating in or leading global initiatives. Serve as relationship manager with regional benefits broker liaison(s). Provide input on global broker strategy and operating model. In addition to HRBPs, meet regularly or as needed with key stakeholders. Examples include: Global Total Rewards team Local leadership Local and global colleagues across Legal, Finance, Procurement and Communications. Subject matter expertise Leverage compensation expertise to implement global framework and advise HR partners and leaders as it relates to market pricing, pay ranges, retention programs and incentives. Leverage benefits expertise to advise local HR and/or implement local and regional programs. Monitor statutory requirements and ensuring compliance, in partnership with HRBPs, Legal and Compliance colleagues. Drive new initiatives and ongoing work within the region. (50% of time) Pay Ranges In partnership with global compensation develop pay ranges for all countries within the region. Prior experience in developing pay ranges for multiple countries is preferred. Annual and Adhoc Processes Actively lead the annual compensation process in close partnership with the global team within the region. Participate in or lead annual review meetings with key compensation and benefits vendors. Support/lead mobility initiatives. Collective Bargaining Support local HR with comp and benefits design with collective bargaining discussions. Communications Enhance and evolve our communication and effectiveness of our Comp and Benefits programs. Support Total Rewards Founder Portal for your region. Lead Global Benefit Programs Accountable for managing and monitoring at least one global benefits program (e.g., mindfulness app, business travel accident, minimum standards, disaster relief). Share key measures of success with global and local colleagues. Manage a team of local HR professionals. (20% of time) Direct and indirect manager support Provide guidance and support to local HR colleagues to administer local compensation and benefits programs, including designing local benefits programs and leveraging global compensation and benefits practices locally. Required Experience And Skills Significant compensation & benefits experience in global organizations Experiences in one or more of the following compensation disciplines: broad based compensation design, salary and incentive plan design and administration, international compensation, equity compensation, executive pay Expert in compensation analytics and benchmarking surveys Keen understanding of compensation principles as it relates to market pricing, pay ranges, retention programs and incentives.
