With colleagues based in 14 offices around the world, we want to provide solutions to today\xe2\x80\x99s social and environmental problems that benefit generations to come in four areas: the natural environment, society, education, and faith.Job summaryThe Regional Coordinator supports the Regional Director (RD) and the Regional Team in operationalising their regional exploration work and providing research and analytical support on request. Key responsibilities also include coordinating investment committee meetings and field trips, regional partner and funder convenings, and non-financial support in the region.Reports toRegional DirectorKey responsibilitiesRegional exploration work

  • Coordinate/track programme/grant pipeline in Regional Exploration.
  • Support the delivery of Regional Exploration work.
  • Support relationship building with grantees and local networks.
  • Coordinate Funder+ (non-financial support) activities carried out by the regional team.
  • Contributes to (maintaining) the eco-system mapping.
  • Supports the Regional Analyst with the MEL processes of the regional exploration work.
  • Provide research and analytical support relating to Regional Exploration and Funder+ on request
Internal coordination
  • Support the Regional Director in preparing and disseminating the content for committee meetings, takes minutes, and follows up on action points.
  • Contributing to the development and tracking of the annual operating plan (AOP) (Regional Exploration budget and OPEX)
  • Prepares specific reports (e.g., for regional investment committee) and fulfils specific reporting requirements as requested by RD.
  • Support the Regional Director in working with the regional team, organises and supports regular team meetings, contributes to teamwork, learning and knowledge sharing
Learning environment
  • Proactively contributes to a learning dynamic by supporting the team in researching, analysing, and sharing new and relevant insights with the wider team, focused on Regional Exploration.
  • Contributes to interregional engagement and collaboration by actively sharing knowledge and experiences with the organisation.
Convenings
  • Logistics and scheduling of Regional Investment Committee meetings, partner/field visits, team meetings, meeting venues.
  • Assist the team with all logistical aspects of convening thought leaders, stakeholders, and partners.
Assistance
  • Maintaining Regional Team e-mail inbox.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoQualificationsEducation & experience
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in a discipline relevant to the work of Porticus or equivalent level obtained by work experience.
  • At least 3 years of professional experience, preferably in an international organisation, philanthropic foundation, or NGO.
  • Initial experience in grant administration / grant management or project- and process-management / administrative field.
  • An appreciation and awareness of philanthropic activity in the region, interest in sectors supported by Porticus.
  • Fluency in English. Other languages are an asset.
Skills
  • Excellent communication skills and service-oriented mentality
  • Excellent organisational skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in supporting the delivery of complex programmes in fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Familiarity with grant making or CRM systems such as Salesforce
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Problem solving skills, analytical and strict attention to detail
  • Proactive and a continuous improvement mentality
