Job Description

In this role, you will lead a team of application specialists across the APAC region, based in Malaysia. This is a newly-created role in a growing company, where you will develop the capabilities of the team in terms of product training, pre-sales, and post-sales customer support.

• Lead a team (7+) of application specialists across the APAC region
• Continuous improvement and development of SOPs for increased efficiency and accuracy
• People development including hiring, training, and coaching. Creating a skill development plan to improve the capabilities of the team
• Travelling to key customers and accounts in the region for direct customer support
• Enabling the team to provide effective marketing support to the sales team in terms of product demonstrations, pre-sales, customer training, and product launches
• Supporting external partners such as distributors
• Developing reporting systems and KPIs in order to develop a high-functioning team
• Representing the application department in leadership meetings and working cross-functionally with other departments to endure business goals are met

• Academic background in biomedical science, pharmacy, biotechnology, medical science, biomedical engineering, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in application support in the medical device field, including management of an application team
• Regional exposure and experience will be an added advantage
• Strong planning and organizational skills, a keen eye for detail and process improvement
• Leadership skills and the ability to develop and grow people, as well as manage internal stakeholders
• Ability to travel extensively through the APAC region
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
