An established international FMCG company is looking for a Regional Lean Manufacturing Director to be a subject-matter expert (SME) for lean manufacturing within the region. In this job, the primary function is to provide leadership and direction to the lean manufacturing team, and work closely with the broader lean manufacturing teams located in each business unit and other Regional Centre of Excellence (COE) leaders. About the Regional Lean Manufacturing Director Role:
In this Regional Lean Manufacturing Director position, you will support the Senior Director by providing subject-matter expertise, leadership, governance, and the deployment of the overall lean manufacturing programmes across all sites in the region to deliver improving and sustainable operational results. Key Responsibilities:

• Actively participate as a dedicated member of the Global Lean Manufacturing Council, representing the region as the functional leader of Lean Manufacturing
• Provide daily leadership and guidance to Lean Manufacturing Regional Capability Leaders in order to implement Autonomous Maintenance (AM), Reliability Maintenance (RM), and Continuous Improvement Centres of Excellence across manufacturing sites in the region
• Take the lead in deploying the leadership Centre of Excellence and the Natural Resource Conservation Centre of Excellence throughout the region
• Support the development of capabilities for Supply Chain Directors and Site Lean Manufacturing Leads across the region by offering continuous advice, coaching, training, and conducting phase reviews
• Assist the Global Lean Manufacturing Council in creating new Lean Manufacturing content for current and future Lean Manufacturing Phases implemented across all regions
• Support the planning and implementation of Smart Factory Digital Deployment Strategies across all plants in the region
• Collaborate closely with regional Functional Leaders of Manufacturing and Engineering to effectively roll out and execute global programs as needed

To succeed in the Regional Lean Manufacturing Director role, you will need to have solid in-process improvement, and strong knowledge of Six Sigma principles, and tools such as DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Zero Loss Analysis processes and a strong understanding of Autonomous Maintenance methodology and application in a food manufacturing environment. Key Requirements:

• Degree in an industrial engineering, manufacturing, or other supply chain related discipline
• Proficiency in overseeing diverse and intricate operations, along with notable problem-solving, influencing, and decision-making abilities
• At least 10 years in manufacturing operations within the FMCG industry, having effectively led Operations or other plant functions
• Possess substantial experience in process improvement and possess a strong understanding of Six Sigma principles, as well as tools like DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Zero Loss Analysis processes, and Autonomous Maintenance methodology and application
• Exceptional skills in people management, coupled with the capacity to collaborate effectively across the organisation
