The Cross Border Logistics team\'s objective is to build competitive logistics products and customised solutions to support various sales channels in securing new businesses and retaining existing businesses. As a member of the Cross Border Logistics team, the incumbent will be working closely with Regional Logistics Manager and the Freight Forwarding team to develop competitive freight solutions and coordinate freight operations.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees overall operational performances of current solutions
  • Develop competitive freight solutions
  • Management of escalations, Ad-hoc ,or Exceptions
  • Responsible for vendor lead time adherence Billing/financial reporting (timeliness, accuracy, costing)Process all types of customs inward and outward permits
  • Actively track and trace shipments and update customers accordingly
  • Collaborate with Freight team members to innovate around constraints & solutions
  • Work with the Cross Border Regional Manager to support the implementation when onboarding new Air Freight vendors
  • Support Ninja Freight for adhoc/regular AF Shipment handling (coordination from freight booking, shipment coordination with shipper and vendor)
  • Support the Cross Border Regional Manager to source for suitable air freight and clearance vendor
  • Work with Cross Border Regional Manager to optimize operations and procurement to drive cost savings by selecting the best flight schedule with adherence to agreed lead times
  • Support the Cross Border Regional Manager for onboarding and implementation for all vendors
  • Responsible in providing operational requirements and input prior/during vendor onboarding and pilot process
  • Responsible with monitoring vendor ops performances and key practices
  • Remain updated on the assigned region\'s shipping and customs regulations
  • Responsible for producing the WI and SOPs to ensure operations scalability and consistency as well as equipping the team with the right skill set and knowledge to validate vendor invoices
  • L2 escalations - liaison with management (internal and external)
  • Responsible for collating and presenting weekly/monthly performances on Freight shipments/Compliance/Billing accuracy to stakeholders
  • Establish visibility on key deliverables and KPIs
Requirements
  • Diploma / Degree in Supply Chain Logistics preferred
  • Min 3 years of relevant working experience in a freight forwarding operations environment or has knowledge of Airfreight, Export and Import Clearance
  • Ability to analyse numerical & cost data
  • Able to multi-task with different projects at the same time and focus on meeting deadlines
  • Possess strong process mindset, freight forwarding, and e-commerce knowledge
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation, and excellence
  • Proficiency in Google Office suite Proficiency in Sysfreight
  • Communication - Excellent communication & presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Stakeholder Management - Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
  • Self-Starter - Independent self-starter, willing to get hands dirty
  • Decision-Making - Excellent decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Commercial Acumen - Understanding product market fit and competition
  • Ability to speak any additional languages (such as Korean, Japanese) will be a plus
  • Comfortable to travel around SEA region when needed
