Regional Sales Manager (petrochemicals, Rubber)

Job Description


A Regional Sales Manager will be responsible to create and execute strategic sales plan that expands customer base and reach for business growth within the petrochemicals industry.

  • To achieve sales KPI\'s by executing and coordinating all local and regional sales activities.
  • Identify, build and develop business opportunities with new potential and existing customers as well as business leads.
  • Identify untapped/emerging markets to explore new business opportunities mainly in the rubber segment.
  • Recognise and access customer needs to suggest appropriate product and solutions and to provide technical support.
  • Conduct business presentations to customers to provide information regarding the company\'s product range, capabilities, cost effective/application driven solutions.
  • Participate in weekly/monthly sales meetings at the local, regional, and global levels.
  • Prepare annual sales budgets, projections and annual sales expenditures.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and serve as the face of the company to internal and external partners.
  • Assist Commercial Manager for task related to payment collection, debt management, overdue payments and credit limits for new and potential customers.
  • Handle and resolve customer complaints regarding the company\'s product or service.
  • Perform any other duties that may be assigned by Commercial Manager.
Multinational organisation|Regional exposure
  • Possess a Degree in Engineering/Chemistry or related field.
  • At least 5 years of working experience in sales or business development field in wet rubber or polymer or waxes industries or chemistry industries is preferable.
  • Experience selling petrochemicals to rubber manufacturers/customers eg glove, tire.
  • Self-motivated with ambition and good analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge of costing and accounting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point).
  • Understanding of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and Oracle system will be an added advantage.
  • Flexibility of working remotely, however should be willing to travel to office in Perak when required.
