Our client is one of the largest medical device company in the world, with a global presence and world-renowned brand. They are currently looking for an experienced internal audit professional to join their team, based at their Petaling Jaya office. Responsibilities This is a regional senior internal audit role reporting into Internal Audit Director. You will be based in Malaysia, with some traveling requirements. The primary objective of this role is to plan and execute financial, operational and compliance audits in the APAC Region as well as complete special projects as the needs arise. Develop superior knowledge about the businesses, its significant risks and the industry in general; and engage key business people, including senior management, to develop strong partnership relationships in order to provide superior audits and value-added recommendations for process/risk management improvements. Take on a team member role and work with other IA team members to plan, execute and project-manage financial and operational audits of the entities as approved in the annual audit plan: financial and operational processes; compliance with corporate compliance policies; consultative reviews as per management request. Special projects will include participation in teams responsible for items such as instrument management reviews, systems implementation reviews, and fraud/hotline investigations. Supervise external co-source auditors assisting on audits, particularly in locations requiring language support. Keep informed on current issues and trends involving internal audit best practices, relevant GAAP or IFRS standards, and other applicable corporate governance issues. Requirements You are required to fulfil the requirements below to qualify for this role: A bachelor\'s degree in accounting, finance, business or equivalent, with demonstrated academic success. Qualified CPA, CIA or CFE. A CISA designation is a plus. Minimum of 5 years of business experience, in public accounting and / or in a global company, either in an internal audit or compliance role. Experience in the medical/healthcare industry is a plus. Strong interpersonal, communication, business writing and data analytics skills. Familiar with the business cultures and norms in the APAC region and is sensitive to the associated risk landscape.
